Custom web apps

A small app that replaces the spreadsheet.

The team runs a key process out of a shared spreadsheet, an inbox and good intentions. You do not need a platform. You need one focused tool that does that job properly.

The problem

Spreadsheets are a fine start until three people edit the same row, nobody knows which tab is current and a formula quietly breaks. Off-the-shelf software either does too much or not quite the thing you need.

We build small, focused web apps around one workflow: a booking admin, a client portal, a job tracker, an approvals screen. If what you describe is really a full product or platform, we will say so and point you to a team set up for that.

Sound familiar?

  • A shared spreadsheet has become the system of record and keeps breaking.
  • Clients email you for information they could look up themselves in a simple portal.
  • Staff need an admin screen over data that currently lives in a database nobody can safely edit.
  • An existing app needs one well-defined feature added.
  • A no-code tool has hit its limits for one specific workflow.

What you get

  • A one-page scope agreed before build: screens, users and data
  • The app, with sign-in and sensible permissions for each type of user
  • Data imported from your spreadsheet or existing source
  • Deployment to hosting in your name
  • A short handover note covering how it works and how to change it

What this isn’t

  • Multi-tenant SaaS platforms or marketplace builds
  • Products needing a continuous development team
  • Apps making regulated health, credit or safety decisions

Price

From $1,500. Most small apps and single features land between $1,500 and $4,000.

How the job runs

  1. 01

    Describe what is stuck

Answer a few questions in the scoping agent. It takes about three minutes and turns your answers into a plain-English brief.

  2. 02

    Get a straight answer

Within one business day, a developer replies with a fixed price, a paid diagnostic, one question, or an honest “not us” and a referral.

  3. 03

    We fix it

Work starts when you approve. You get the fix, a short note on what changed and the access handed back.

Scoping agent

Tell us what’s stuck.

Two minutes of guided questions. You get a plain-English brief, and a developer replies within one business day.

  • Guided questions, not an AI chatbot
  • A person reviews every brief
  • Never asks for passwords or keys

Questions

How small is small?

A handful of screens, one or two types of user and one main workflow. If the list keeps growing during scoping, we will suggest a useful first stage or tell you it is bigger than us.

Can you add a feature to an app someone else built?

Usually, yes. We read the codebase first and quote the feature once we know what we are working with.

Who owns the code and data?

You do. The repository, hosting and database are set up in your accounts from day one.
