Laravel development
Laravel help for the app your business runs on.
A Laravel app often sits quietly at the centre of a business for years. Then a PHP upgrade is due, a queue stops processing or a new feature is needed, and the original developer is unavailable.
The problem
Older Laravel apps fall behind on framework and PHP versions, which makes hosting harder and security updates riskier. Small features get harder to add because nobody is sure what depends on what.
We read the codebase first, add tests around the parts we touch and make changes in small, reviewable steps. If the app needs a full rebuild, that is bigger than us and we will say so.
Sound familiar?
- The app is several Laravel or PHP versions behind.
- Queued jobs, scheduled tasks or emails have stopped running.
- You need a new feature, report or admin screen.
- An integration with a payment or third-party API is failing.
- Your host is retiring the PHP version the app runs on.
What you get
- The fix, feature or upgrade, committed to your repository
- Tests covering the code we changed
- Staging deployment for checking before production
- A short note on dependencies and versions to watch
What this isn’t
- Full application rewrites
- Ongoing development with no defined scope
- Apps making regulated health, credit or safety decisions
Timeframe
Most fixes in 2–5 business days. Upgrades usually 1–3 weeks.

Questions
Can you upgrade across several Laravel versions?
Usually, yes, one version at a time with checks in between. We quote after looking at the dependencies.
There are no tests. Is that a problem?
It makes changes riskier, so we add tests around the parts we change. We do not try to test the whole app unless that is the job.
