WebGL & 3D
A bit of 3D that earns its place on the page.
A good 3D piece helps people understand a product. A bad one drains phone batteries and hides the content. We build the first kind.
The problem
3D on the web is easy to get wrong. A model that looks great on a desktop stalls a mid-range phone. The page goes blank on browsers without WebGL support. A heavy hero scene pushes your load time up and your search ranking down.
We build small, focused 3D pieces with performance and fallbacks planned from the start. That means compressed models, sensible lighting, a still image where 3D is not available, and respect for reduced-motion settings.
Typical jobs
3D product viewer
Let customers rotate and zoom a product model on your site.
Interactive hero section
Build a light, scroll- or pointer-driven 3D piece for a landing page.
Model optimisation
Compress and simplify 3D models so they load quickly on phones.
Performance fix
Find why an existing scene is slow or janky and make it smooth.
Fallbacks and accessibility
Add still-image fallbacks and reduced-motion support to an existing scene.
What you get
- A self-contained 3D component that fits your existing site
- Optimised models and textures
- Fallback image and reduced-motion behaviour
- Testing on a range of phones and desktop browsers
- Code committed to your repository
What this isn’t
- Full games or large interactive experiences
- Creating detailed 3D models from scratch
- AR or VR applications
Scoping agent
Tell us what’s stuck.
Two minutes of guided questions. You get a plain-English brief, and a developer replies within one business day.
- Guided questions, not an AI chatbot
- A person reviews every brief
- Never asks for passwords or keys
No account. No sales script. Never asks for passwords or keys.
Questions
Do we need to supply the 3D model?
Usually, yes. We work from models you already have, such as files from your product designers or CAD exports. We can optimise them, but detailed modelling is a separate job.
Will it slow down our site?
It should not. We load 3D after the main content, keep file sizes down and test on mid-range phones. If a piece cannot be made fast enough, we will tell you.
What happens on older devices?
They see a still image or a simpler version. Nobody gets a blank space.
